Hi Louis,

My dad, Ric Hernandez, gave me your url and I'm thrilled to be able to follow your trip to Alaska. The photos are amazing.

I'm new to blogging (mine began as an assignment for a course) but I'm enjoying it very much; I just need to be more regular with it. Enjoy the rest of the trip—I'll be checking in regularly.

Hello Skye,

Glad to get the url of your blog. I shall bookmark it and list it here too. Looking forward to reading it: just got off the ship earlier this morning and am answering comments to my blog in between unpacking.

As you know, your Dad's column in The Express was one of my favorites and I do hope you'll persuade him to continue it, using the medium of a Blog.

Louis, this means that you are back on dry land. I am sure it had been an exciting trip. Have a nice day.

Yes, Idrus, the cruise is over, and I am back to reality.

This was one of my best trips to Alaska, mainly because the weather was so good that all the scenery appeared in a very fresh perspective. Imagine seeing snowcovered mountain ranges and an enormous glacier bathed in sunshine, against a clear blue sky.

Also, the whales appeared in greater numbers than on previous cruises, so that was exciting.
